Grade 407, 19 jewels adjusted to 3 positions, manufactured from 1913 to 1927 a total of 5,360 movements in 8 runs make up this grade. Model 3 open faced and model 4 hunter; bridge movements of medium to high quality, with double roller and patent micrometric regulator.
Observations, The movements are mostly narrow striped pattern demaskeening with the majority named Illinois Watch Co., named and private labels make up the remainder. The first 2 runs were made in 1913-14 and both may be private labels for Brenner Watch, Youngstown, the remainder of the runs look to be a continuation of grade 406 that ended production in 1926.
Variants, The 1914 run of 30 model 4 hunter movements have Jeweled Barrel marked on the pillar plate and the escape jewels are not capped. These are the only 19 jewel bridge models that I have ever come across with a Jeweled Barrel, and it's possible that the 1913 run of 30 model 3 opened faced movements may have a similar configuration.
Description, 19 jewels; adjusted to temperature and 3 positions; spring tempered compensating balance; double roller escapement; sapphire jewels; steel escape wheel; round arm train wheels; gold center wheel; Breguet hairspring; patent regulator; recoil click; fancy silver dials.
